Your Cayman Islands SIM Card (Digicel) will require a SIM-unlocked GSM 900 / 1800 compatible international cell phone. If you do not have your own international cell phone, we have several models available for rental or purchase.

Your Cayman Islands SIM card will provide you with a Cayman Islands cellular phone number, which can be found on the left hand side inside your SIM card package. The number will begin with 32.

Customer service for your Cayman Islands prepaid SIM card is available 24 hours a day by dialing 100 at any time from your Cayman Islands cellular phone.

For emergencies while using your local Cayman Islands GSM SIM card in Cayman Islands please dial 112 from your cell phone.

*You will need to snap out the thumbnail sized Cayman Islands SIM card along the perforated edge of its holder and then insert the Cayman Islands SIM card into your international cell phone with the gold contacts of the SIM card facing the metal contacts of your international cellular phone.

^ Your phone will prompt you for a 4-digit PIN code, which will be on the welcome letter affixed to your prepaid Cayman Islands SIM card. You will be prompted for PIN1. The PUK is only required to unblock your phone if you enter in a PIN code incorrectly. Follow your cell phone manual instructions to correctly use the PUK to unblock your phone.

**When calling overseas from the United States to your Cayman Islands cellular phone, callers will need to dial 1 followed by your Cayman Islands cell phone number. To call abroad from your Cayman Islands cell phone simply dial 00 followed by the country code and phone number.

Domestic Calls

The domestic rates are per minute for outgoing calls within Cayman Islands from your prepaid SIM card while you are in Cayman Islands. All incoming calls regardless of where they originate are FREE. All calls are billed per second.

International Calls

Making international calls from your world cell phone has never been easier than with your prepaid Cayman Islands SIM card. All rates are listed per minute for international outgoing calls from a Cayman Islands prepaid SIM card within Cayman Islands, however outgoing calls will be billed to the second.

Other Countries includes Antarctica, Ascension, Cook Islands, Cuba, Falkland Islands, Guinea Bissau, Norfolk Islands, Saint Helena, Sao Tone & Principe, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Thuraya, Iridium, Inmarsat.

Roaming Calls (calls placed when traveling outside of the country)

Roaming is currently not availble with your Cayman Island service.

GPRS Data Rates (Wireless Internet)

GPRS is currently not available, however you will be able to receive email via your DigiCel SIM card: Your e-mail address will be the last 7-digits of your phone number @digitextky.com (ex. 2601234@digitextbb.com) and all incoming e-mails are free. Outgoing e-mails with your Barbados prepaid SIM are charged as an SMS at CI$.20 ($0.10 USD) per message.

REMEMBER: Do NOT purchase another SIM card when your airtime credit is depleted! You only need a recharge voucher! Your incoming calls are always free, even when you run out of airtime.

If you do not make a chargeable call (excluding calls to emergency numbers) at least once in any 3-month period the SIM card will be disconnected and recycled.

Each airtime voucher has a date by which you must register the voucher and use the amount credited to your account. This date is referred to as 'Expiration Date' on the particular airtime voucher.

In the event that the expiration date lapses (even if your Account is in credit) and you do not recharge your account with a new airtime voucher within 60 days, the SIM card will be disconnected and recycled. If you add additional airtime credit within these 60 days, any remaining airtime credit will be accumulated and the expiry date of this accumulated credit will be the expiration date of the new airtime voucher.
