Your Germany SIM Card (Vodafone) will require a SIM-unlocked GSM 1800 compatible international cell phone. If you do not have your own international cell phone, we have several models available for rental or purchase.

Your Germany SIM card will provide you with a Germany cellula phone number, which can be found beneath your SIM card on your Vodafone welcome letter inside your SIM card package. The number will start with 015.

To contact customer service for your Germany Vodafone SIM card, please dial 22911 from your mobile phone 24 hours a day, seven days a week at no extra cost.

For your reference, the emergency numbers while in Germany are: 110 for Police, 112 for Ambulance and Fire

*You will need to snap out the thumbnail sized Germany SIM card along the perforated edge of its holder and then insert the Germany SIM card into your international cell phone with the gold contacts of the SIM card facing the metal contacts of your international cellular phone.

^The PIN and PUK number are found at the bottom of the letter in a red square with a black covering that must be rubbed away to uncover your PIN and PUK. In case you enter the wrong pin code 3 times, your mobile phone will be blocked. You may then unblock the phone by entering the PUK. Save the PUK code in a safe place. If the PUK code is entered wrong 10 times then your SIM card will be permanently blocked.

**When calling overseas from the United States to your Germany cell phone, callers will need to dial 011 followed by the country code 49 and then your Germany cell phone number. To call abroad from your Germany cell phone simply dial 00 followed by the country code and phone number.

Domestic rates are per minute for outgoing calls using your Vodafone Germany SIM card within Germany. All incoming calls, regardless of where they originate are FREE with the Vodafone Germany SIM card. For all outgoing calls, the first minute is calculated by the minute, after the first minute the call is calculated by the second.

Airtime rates depend on how much airtime credit you add to your Vodafone SIM card per month and is based on the CallYa Comfort package.

International Calls

For cheaper international and roaming calling rates consider the Passport international SIM card.

Roaming Calls (calls placed when traveling outside of the country)

Roaming is available with your Germany Vodafone SIM card. Roaming calls are calls placed with your Vodafone SIM card while you are abroad, calling to abroad, within the roaming country or back to Germany with your Germany prepaid SIM card. Calls are charged in 30 second intervals at the following rates.

In order to change your tariff rates from �weekdays� to �weekends�, follow the instructions below

REMEMBER: Do NOT purchase another SIM card when your airtime is depleted, all you need is an airtime voucher to recharge your SIM card with!

If you recharge your service with remaining credit still available, prior to the expiration of your service, the call credit as well as activation period will accumulate, activation period to a maximum of 12 months only. You will be notified via SMS 10 days prior to your service expiration. After your service expires, family and friends will be able to reach you on your Germany service for a further 2 months. Validity will depend on the recharge amount: EUR 15 (US$21) 6 months, EUR 25 (US$36) 8 months and EUR 50 (US$72) 12 months. Special Promotions
