Your Poland SIM Card (ERA) will require a SIM-unlocked GSM 900 / 1800 compatible international cell phone. If you do not have your own international cell phone, we have several models available for rental or purchase.

Customer service for your Poland TakTak prepaid SIM card is available 24 hours a day by dialing 9602 at any time from your Poland cellular phone.

For your reference, the emergency numbers while in Poland are: 997 for Police, 999 for Ambulance, 998 for Fire

*You will need to snap out the thumbnail sized Poland SIM card along the perforated edge of its holder and then insert the Poland SIM card into your international cell phone with the gold contacts of the SIM card facing the metal contacts of your international cellular phone.

^Your phone will prompt you for a 4 digit PIN code, which is located in the duo-fold envelope opposite the Era Poland SIM card. You will be prompted for PIN1. The PUK is only required to unblock your phone if you enter a PIN code incorrectly. Follow your cell phone manual instructions to correctly use the PUK to unblock your phone.

^^Call 9797 from your prepaid Poland SIM card, when you start hearing the voice prompts in Polish, press 3 on your keypad. You should now hear instructions and prompts in English.

**When calling overseas from the United States to your Poland cell phone, callers will need to dial 011 followed by the country code 48 and then your Poland cell phone number. To call abroad from your Poland cell phone, simply dial 00 followed by the country code and phone number.

Domestic rates are per minute for outgoing calls within Poland from your prepaid Era Poland SIM card while you are in Poland. All incoming calls, regardless of where they originate, are FREE.

International Calls

Making international calls from your world cell phone has never been easier than with your prepaid Poland SIM card. All rates are per minute for international outgoing calls from a Poland prepaid SIM card while in Poland. Note that signing up with the Return Call Service can significantly reduce the cost of international calls.

For cheaper international and roaming calling rates consider the Passport international SIM card.

Roaming Calls (calls placed when traveling outside of the country)

Roaming is currently not available with your Poland service.

GPRS Data Rates (Wireless Internet)

GPRS is available with your Poland service. Please call customer service on 221 to activate your GPRS service. Data transfer will be charged at a rate of ZY 0.84 (US$0.22) per 100 KB.

Adding Airtime

Your SIM card has an initial airtime credit of 20 PLN ($7.00 USD). Additional credit is available through the purchase of airtime vouchers, also called reload codes, not another SIM card, in Poland. Airtime vouchers are available locally in Poland at Tabac shops, convenience stores, ERA shops and authorized dealers. These airtime vouchers are available in 20 PLN (US$7.00), 49 PLN (US$16.00), 99 PLN (US$33.00) and 149 PLN (US$49.00) denominations. To recharge your Poland service, simply follow the instructions below.

REMEMBER: Do NOT purchase another SIM card when your airtime credit is depleted, you only need a recharge voucher! Your incoming calls are always free even when you run out of airtime.

Service Life

Your Poland SIM card has an initial validity period of 3 months. If you do not recharge your account within these 3 months, your mobile phone number will be recycled and any remaining airtime credit will be forfeit. To get connected again you will be required to purchase another SIM card. The 3 month period starts the day you arrive in Poland.
