Please Note:

Your Spain SIM Card (Happy Movil) will require a SIM-unlocked GSM 900 / 1800 compatible international cell phone. If you do not have your own international cell phone, we have several models available for rental or purchase.

Your Spain SIM card will provide you with a Spain cellular phone number, which can be found on the back of your SIM card package. The number will start with 6 and is 9 digits in length.

This service requires registration BEFORE YOU TRAVEL. You will need to provide a scan of your passport, your invoice number and Spain cellphone number. Please consult our User Guide for further details.

For a service that does not require registration consider the Passport SIM card.

Happy Movil Customer service for your prepaid SIM card in Spain is available 24 hours a day by dialing 2980 at any time from your Spain cellular phone or by dialing from any other phone 902 007 599.

For your reference, the emergency numbers while in Spain are: 091 for Police, 061 for Ambulance, 080 for Fire and 112 for any emergency.

*You will need to snap out the thumbnail sized Spain SIM card along the perforated edge of its holder and then insert the Spain SIM card into your international cell phone with the gold contacts of the SIM card facing the metal contacts of your international cellular phone.

^Your Spain SIM card requires a 4 digit PIN code. The PUK is only required to unblock your phone if you enter a PIN code incorrectly 3 times. Follow your cell phone manual instructions to correctly use the PUK to unblock your phone.

**When calling overseas from the United States to your Spain cell phone, callers will need to dial 011 followed by the country code 34 and then your Spain cell phone number. To call abroad from your Spain cell phone simply dial 00 followed by the country code and phone number.

Domestic rates are per minute for outgoing calls from your prepaid Spain SIM card while you are in Spain. All incoming calls regardless of where they originate are FREE.

This service can be activated by dialing 2981 from your mobile phone.

PLEASE NOTE: This service is limited to a maximum of 60 minutes each day, 30 minutes per call and a maximum of 500 minutes per month.

International Calls

Making international calls from your world cell phone has never been easier with your prepaid Spain SIM card. All rates are per minute for international outgoing calls from a Spain SIM card while in Spain.

GPRS is currently not available with your prepaid Spain service. Adding Airtime

The Happy Movil SIM card for Spain will include 5 EUR (approx. US$7.85) of initial airtime. You will receive an extra 5 EUR with your new Happy Movil when you add an additional 10 EUR to your SIM card within the first 45 days after activation.

Additional airtime credit is available through the purchase of airtime vouchers, also called recharge cards. Airtime vouchers are available from (Voucher PIN will be sent via email) and locally in Spain at most supermarkets, convenience stores, gas stations, and authorized dealers in Spain. To recharge your Spain service, simply follow the instructions below.

REMEMBER: Do NOT purchase another SIM card when your airtime credit is depleted! You only need a recharge voucher! Your incoming calls are always free, even when you run out of airtime.

To check your remaining balance, simply dial *113# and your balance will appear on your screen. You can check your balance for free up to 10 times per month. After that you will be charged EUR 0.15 (approx. US$0.24) for each balance check.

Your SIM Card has an initial validity period of 6 months after activation. If you do not recharge your account within these 6 months, your mobile phone number will be recycled and any remaining airtime credit will be forfeit. To get connected again you will be required to purchase another SIM card. The 6 month period starts upon activation of the card.

Keeping in touch while in Spain can be very a frustrating and expensive experience without an international cell phone and Spain SIM card.

Sometimes a payphone takes coins (But how many is anybody's guess!!!), other times a proprietary calling card and still others only a credit card will do with accompanying instructions that would take a week to understand.
