Your United Arab Emirates SIM card (du) will require a SIM-unlocked GSM 900 / 1800 compatible international cell phone. If you do not have your own international cell phone, we have several models available for rental or purchase.

Your United Arab Emirates SIM card will provide you with a United Arab Emirates cellular phone number, which can be found on the back cover of the booklet that comes with your SIM card. The number begins with 05.

Customer service for your United Arab Emirates prepaid SIM card is available 24 hours a day by dialing 135 at any time from your United Arab Emirates cellular phone.

For your reference, the emergency numbers while in United Arab Emirates are: 999 for Police, 998 for Ambulance and 997 for Fire

*You will need to snap out the thumbnail sized United Arab Emirates SIM card along the perforated edge of its holder and then insert the United Arab Emirates SIM card into your international cell phone with the gold contacts of the SIM card facing the metal contacts of your international cellular phone.

^ Your phone will prompt you for a 4-digit PIN code, which is located on the duo-fold envelope affixed to the SIM card. The PUK is only required to unblock your phone if you enter in a PIN code incorrectly. Follow your cell phone manual instructions to correctly use the PUK to unblock your phone.

**When calling overseas from the United States to your United Arab Emirates cell phone, callers will need to dial 011 followed by the country code 971 and then your United Arab Emirates cell phone number, omitting the first 0 (zero). To call abroad from your United Arab Emirates cell phone simply dial + followed by the country code and phone number.

Domestic rates are per minute for outgoing calls within United Arab Emirates from your prepaid United Arab Emirates SIM card while you are in United Arab Emirates. All incoming calls, regardless of where they originate, are FREE.

International Calls

Making international calls from your world cell phone has never been easier than with your prepaid United Arab Emirates SIM card. All rates are per minute (billed per second) for international outgoing calls from an United Arab Emirates prepaid SIM card while in United Arab Emirates.

International SMS messages cost AED 0.59 ($0.16 USD) each.

GPRS Data Rates (Wireless Internet)

GPRS is currently not available with your United Arab Emirates service.

Credit is for life, this means for as long as you are a DU customer your credit will never expire.

Your UAE prepaid SIM card, however, is valid for 1 year. During the first 30 days of the grace period you can receive calls, but you will not be able to make any calls. The remaining 60 days of the grace period you will not be able to make or receive calls. Special Promotions
